BIG MARLEY’S UFC FIGHT NIGHT 137 DRAFT KINGS FANTASY BREAKDOWN

This weekend, we have a card in Brazil. DraftKings has some adequate competitions available for this Fight Night card, and this is uncommon for all these free ones. The principal tourney is the $8 entrance and pays $20k to 1st. That is the principal GPP I will be pursuing this week. As always, I’m in the 3-entry max and only entry GPPs as well. However, this week DraftKings includes two contests for trips out to Vegas to see that the McGregor vs Khabib battle. Flight, hotel, and struggles all paid for. The floor chairs contest is a $33 entrance along with the non-floor seats competition is simply a $15 entry. I am going to have to take a few shots at that too. Additionally, DraftKings simply released a contest for UFC 299 that’s a $10 entry having a massive $100,000 to 1st place. That is by far the greatest prize we have seen in DFS MMA, so let us build a bankroll this weekend so we can shoot a few extra shots at that $100k. With that said, here are a few plays I enjoy this week as well as my fade of this week:
Money Game play of the week — Livia Renata Souza ($9,600)
Livia Souza is the safest win on the card and I believe she gets this fight ended early. This is where I’m starting my cash LUs weekly. Only give me the -1100 favorite who is being fed an easy win , for my money games. I do like a lot of the top favorites on this card, I simply are the most shocked when Souza lost. I think she’s good in both formats, but she will probably be chalky in GPPs, so money games are the ideal place to get your Souza investment this week. Take this triumph, then find 3 others and you need to be good in cash games.
GPP drama of this week — Charles Oliveira ($9,400)
I am a large Charles”Do Bronx” Oliveira enthusiast, and he’s a few of my favorites in UFC history. I think we could see another amazing one here. This battle seems simple to call. Do Bronx will look for the early takedown and when he could get it then he probably gets a 1st round sub. If that happens he should lock up a strong 100 points and I am pretty confident in being the results of the fight, so that’s why he’s my GPP play of the week. He is also my GPP play of this week, and not my Cash play of the week for a motive. If he can’t get the takedown(s) early, then he’ll probably quit and get finished himself together with strikes. I don’t like that risk of a low floor for my cash LU, so I prefer Souza there. However, in GPPs I like saving the $200 and going down to perform Bronx.
Underdog play of this week — Eryk Anders ($7,600)
I would like Anders more if he wasn’t taking this fight on short notice, and if it was not in Brazil. But he does have a clear route to success here and that’s by knocking out Santos who doesn’t have a great chin. Anders could also opt for takedowns in this fight and he could win with some tough GNP as well. At $7.6k he will almost surely end up on the winning LU when he’s able to acquire the KO. This is the major event, so he will have 5 rounds to function with. I really do think that is a solid matchup for Anders, however he must be aggressive and not hang out to the exterior. If he hangs out to the outside too long Santos will consume him up with kisses and it might be a short night for Anders. I am going to select him to get the win here as an underdog in Brazil and I think he gets it completed in the first two rounds with a KO. That will easily pay off his $7.6k salary and it will win you a GPP if you can get your additional 5 spots correct also.
Fade of the week — Sam Alvey ($9,200)
Sam Alvey is always a fade for me. I wrote him up as my fade of the week here, I was very wrong and he scored over 100 points. Then so be it, if that happens here. However, I refuse to rely on an early KO triumph to cover off a $9.2k salary from a man who does not throw many strikes. At $9.2k I need at least 92 points from Alvey when I roster him and the only way get caught that’s using a 1st round KO win. That could happen here against a 42-year-old Lil Nog, but I am not eager to spend my money in it.
