Assessment testing means that students have adequate preparation for college-level courses.
the results are used to guide students into appropriate classes. Students should have already applied to MCC before you take the test, and tests must certanly be taken just before registering for classes.
In regards to the Assessment Testing Process
This process comprises two sections that are possible. The first section is a computerized test called Accuplacer, where students buy essay are tested on mathematics, reading comprehension and either sentence skills or their level of English proficiency (LOEP). The second section, the task Essay, provides a sample of every student’s writing. This one-hour essay that is timed mandatory for all students who place below English 101 in the English percentage of the Accuplacer. The Challenge Essay is administered on a separate from the Accuplacer day.
Test Exemption
Students may request an English or math assessment test exemption form by submitting the following evidence to the Admissions office:

Once the exemption happens to be processed, the student has to bring the signed off exemption with them into the actual test appointment.
Students who have completed the Accuplacer test at another college should bring their score are accountable to the Center that is testing L131, and find out the test administrator to see where those scores would put them at MCC.
Making Plans For Your Visit
